Zurgena is a Spanish town and municipality in the province of Almeria, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia. In the year 2014 there were 3129 inhabitants. Its surface area is 72 km² and has a density of 43,46 hab / km². It is located at an altitude of 248 meters and 95 kilometers from the provincial capital, Almería .
The municipality is formed by the nuclei of Zurgena, La Alfoquía, El Cucador, Palacés, Los Carasoles, Los Llanos, Los Menchones, Almajalejo, Los Cabreras, Los Puntales, La Fuente del Pino and La Parrica.
